Emma (Em) Murphy

My name is Emma but most people call me Em. I have no preference. I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 2016 but I’ve done hair my whole life. Since I was 11 I experimented with my own cuts and colors. It wasn’t until high school when I really learned a lot about different coloring services. Though I didn’t realize it would be my chosen craft until I was nineteen. Growing up with my grandpa, I was searching other career fields and then decided to attend beauty school. It was the challenge I needed and wanted in my love. The true passion awoke when I had my first client who went from long hair to a pixie. That transformation ignited my love.

A color specialist - vivid, blonding and red heads have always been my favorites. I also have spent most of my career doing corrective color services I love color services and pride myself on maintaining the integrity of the hair, no matter if we are retouching highlights or doing corrective color. While I love color services, I also enjoy cutting as well and have worked on that portion of my craft just as tirelessly. Whether the kiddos got a hold of scissors and we have to fix some things or we are maintaining a cut, I’m thrilled to pick up my scissors.
